Peacock, Neil Duncan
Passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side, on Thursday, May 19th, 2022, in his 89th year. Born in Hamilton Ontario and predeceased by his parents Ernest and Earline Peacock, Neil was the cherished husband of Moira (MacNeil) for 63 years. Loving father of Judy (Brian Stock), Marianne (John Arbour), Jeff- predeceased (Susan), Suzanne (Stephen McCauley). Much loved grandfather of 11 grandchildren- Adam (Shannon), Joel (Sarah), Ian (Lauren); Brandon (Rachel), Kassie (Dan), Becca (Dan); Megen (Bryan), Kelsey, Ben; Michael (Sarah), Christine (Corbie); and one great-grandson, Neil Jeffrey Fallon Stringer; Dear brother of Marion Craig (Art-predeceased), Donald (Eva)-both predeceased, Bev Volk (George)-both predeceased, Doug (“Butch”) both predeceased. Neil will be dearly missed by his nieces, nephews, family, and very special friends. He will be remembered as a dedicated and caring, long-time teacher and coach at Park St. Collegiate, an avid golfer and squash player, and Orillia’s Athlete of the Year 1953. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the wonderful team of PSWs who supported Neil and family with compassion, kindness, love, and excellent care. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, if desired, memorial donations may be made through Mundell Funeral Home to the ALS Society of Canada/Simcoe County Walk to End ALS- Team Peacock and Covenant House Toronto.
