Obituary of Nancy Holly Buckingham
Nancy Buckingham ascended to Valhalla on June 8, 2022 in her 59th year after a valiant 6 year battle against cancer.
Survived by her sisters Pam and Jane (friend Steve) and brothers Paul (LeighAnne) and Barry (Carol). Predeceased by her sister Liz and brother-in-law Lorne. Nancy leaves behind her best buddies Pewter and Casper.
Nancy graduated with a degree in English Language and Literature from Western University. Later, while working at the LCBO, she achieved her Masters of Adult Education from Seneca College. Nancy was known in her community as the wine expert, working at the LCBO for many years.
After Nancy’s diagnosis with cancer, she became very familiar with the London Regional Cancer Centre. As a result of her experiences, Nancy become a patient advocate in order to better the patient experience on the cancer unit.
Special thanks to Parkwood Hospital Palliative Care Unit, CCAC Strathroy, and London Regional Cancer Centre for all their care.
As per Nancy’s wishes cremation has taken place. Interment at the Kincardine cemetery. In memory of Nancy donations may be made to the Ontario Turtle Conservation Centre or the Ovarian Cancer Canada.
