Nancy’s Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our loving mother and grandmother Nancy Darlene Jeans (nee White) at the Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre in Port aux Basques, NL on Tuesday, May 3rd, 2022 at the age of 58 years. Born in Port aux Basques, NL, Nancy was the daughter of the late Walter and Phoebe White (nee Osmond). She was also predeceased by her father and mother in-law; Vernon and Joan Jeans, grandparents in-law; Norman and Evangeline Marshall, brother and sister in-law; Reg Osmond and Elaine White, aunts and uncles; Lillan Marshall, Vera (Bill) Gulliage and niece; Cynthia Young.
Nancy leaves to mourn with fond and precious memories her loving husband of 38 years; Vernon, her son; Daniel (Codi) White, grandsons; Zakk, Aiden and Seth, brothers and sisters; Alice Osmond, Port aux Basques, Albert (Sharon) White, Port aux Basques, Josie (Howard) Young Timmins, ON, Melvin (Linda) White, Port aux Basques, Florence (Seaward) Carroll, Margaree, Rosine White (Junior), Margaree, William White, MacDougall’s, Gary (Elsie) White, Port aux Basques, Wayne (Beverley) White, Port aux Basques, Valerie White (Dennis), Pasadena, Norma White (Paul), Timmons, ON, Rick White (Nina), Corner Brook, Debbie (Mike) Bouillon, Timmins ON, Jeffery White, Port aux Basques, Linda (Ray) White, Timmins ON, Raylene (Ephraim) Skinner, Sudbury ON, brother in-law; Ronald Jeans, nephews; Ryan and Mitchell Jeans, aunts and uncles; Grace (Joe) Jeans, Norma (Peter) Philip, Jack and Ron Marshall, plus a very large circle of nieces nephews, extended family, and friends.
The family would like to send a Special Thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff at Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre as well as Nancy’s personal home care workers for the dedication, thoughtfulness, and compassion. The care you gave to Nancy goes beyond compare. For this, we forever grateful.
In keeping with Nancy’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation will be on Friday, May 6th, 2022 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at East Haven Funeral Home Inc., 57 Grand Bay Road, Port aux Basques. Internment to follow at a later date. Flowers are graciously accepted and donations in Nancy’s memory may be made to Canadian Cancer Society.
