MYRTLE HINDS PASSES AWAY
AT AGE 100
HINDS, Myrtle Marie ~ Age 100, of Nictaux South, Annapolis Co., passed away on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born on May 16, 1921, in Greenwood, Kings Co., she was a daughter of the late Eugene and Nettie (Salsman) Naugler. Myrtle was a member of Nictaux United Baptist Church and in years past was active in the Nictaux Fire Ettes. She faithfully supported the work of Diabetes Canada and enjoyed a good game of cards in particular auction 45’s. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Myrtle is survived by daughters, Marion Criece, Trenton, Ont.; Linda Mullin (Douglas Robishaw), Brickton; sons, Gilbert and Lawrence “Larry” Hinds, both of Nictaux South; five grandchildren; five great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, William E. Hinds; son, Arnold Hinds; daughter-in-law, Sylvia Hinds; sons-in-law, Merle Criece and Chris Mullin; sisters, Dorothy (Sydney) Connell and Velma (Vincent) Lutz; brothers, Lawrence Naugler (killed in action in Second World War) and Lloyd Naugler; half-brother, Frank Salsman. There will be no visitation. The service will take place at a later date with interment in Nictaux Cemetery. Donations in her memory may be made to Nictaux United Baptist Church or Diabetes Canada.
