Passed peacefully away at Dr. G B Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at 2:50 a.m., Myrtle Beaver of Harcourt, age 69 years. Predeceased by her parents Norman and Inez George; brother-in-law James Wood; nephews Derek George and Cody Wiscombe. Left with fond and loving memories her nieces and nephews, who were like her children Greg George (Tracy Mack), Belleville, ON, Allan Strong (Karen), Fort McMurray, AB, Randy George (Soley), Brantford, ON, Michael Wood, Bloomfield, NL, Tyler Wiscombe, Marystown, NL, Tara George (Bill Arsenault), Belleville, ON and Carrie (Wood) Hobden (Terry), Harcourt, NL; loved always by her great nieces, great nephews, great great nephew and niece; sister Judy Strong (Ronald), Harcourt, Daisy George, Marystown, Margaret Wood, Harcourt and Kathy Wiscombe (Larry), Marystown; brothers Arthur George (Christine), Clarenville, Roy George (Hazel), Belleville, ON, Randy George (Dean), George’s Brook, Winston George (Brenda Guinard), Ontario and Scott George (Kerri Webster), Monroe; Velma and Gary Hart of Lady Cove and Lorne Hyde of Australia, who were like her sister and brother; and a large circle of family and friends. Resting at Fewer’s Funeral Home, Clarenville on Monday, May 9, 2022 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at Fewer’s Memorial Chapel, Clarenville with cremation to follow. Burial to take place at a later date. A special thank you to the home care workers Marilyn Thompkins, Nina Gagliano, Meaghan Thompkins, Nadine Chaulk and Nicole Pike.
