Murray Richard Lenihan
1946-2022
Murray Richard Lenihan – 76, of
Kentville, was called home July 27, 2022, in Valley Regional Hospital,
with his family by his side. Born in Lakeville, he was a son
of Ralph and Laura Lenihan.
Throughout his life, Murray tried out a few
different careers, from driving tractor trailer, to selling
Electrolux, but his true calling was farming, which he did, for the
last 25 years of his working days, being employed with Stirling Apples
in Centerville. In his busy months you could find him in an
orchard or field, working hard in his John Deere listening to country
music, with a bottle of Diet Pepsi by his side. He loved to share his
knowledge and tell stories of his past to anyone who was nearby. After
retirement, you could find him in his favorite chair, watching The
Waltons, Gunsmoke, Threes Company, WWE or the weather
network.
Murray was a simple man, who loved his simple
life, and his family. Even after his health started to deteriorate, he
never let it bring him down. His kids will miss his phone calls, to
tell them about the upcoming weather, gas prices or just to make sure
they we’re ok.
Left to grieve his loss is his wife of 51
years, Elizabeth (Slauenwhite); son, Richard (Michelle); daughter,
Annie; bonus son, Wilfred; grandson, Chance; granddaughters, Tristine
and Samantha; siblings, Ronnie (Paddy), Reggie (Ellen), Mag (David),
Lillian (Leroy), Donna, Barb (Adrien), Harry, Garnet (Linda), Bob and
Leona; as well as a large extended family, many nieces and nephews and
two very special kitties, Maggie and
Snoop.
Waiting for him on the other side are his
parents, Ralph and Laura; brothers, Sheldon, Ralph Jr., and David;
sisters, Doreen and Betty; and his favorite grandpuppy, Willow (Window
Dog).
The family would like to extend a thank you to
the nurses and doctors on Medical A, for their support and caring
nature to Murray during these last 7 weeks, and a heartfelt thank you
to his favorite nurse “Grumpy” who he will miss
picking on.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be
