Henri, Muriel (Bergeron)
May 5, 1932 – December 5, 2022
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Muriel Henri (née Bergeron) on December 5, 2022 in Ottawa at the age of 90. She will be greatly missed by her daughters Gail (children Emma and Andrea Vost), Karen (children Laure and Heloise Henri- Garand), Julie (children Simon, Antoine and Jérôme Piché) and Janet (children Julie, Daniel and Marcus Ribi). She also leaves 8 great grandchildren (Jaxon, Samuel, Mira, Florence, Eva, Charles, Olivia and Julia).
She was the daughter of the late Luttrelle Bergeron and Ida Mae Brisson from Cornwall Ont. She was predeceased by her sister Patricia MacNaughton and her brothers Luttrelle Jr. and Del Bergeron. She will be sadly missed by her sisters Sheila Judges, Beverly Hodgins (Peter Yeager), Jo Ann McIntosh, Betty Ann Baker and her brothers Eugene (Anne) and Gordon (Barb).
She spent over 30 years living in Greenfield Park, Quebec, lovingly raising her children and then pursuing further education and employment. One of her proudest achievements was obtaining a BA in Library Studies from Concordia University at the age of 50. She loved her employment as a technical librarian at Ogilvie Flour Mills. She was also a committed volunteer at the Greenfield Park library, a Brownie leader, a softball coach, at the bookshop at the Ottawa Public Library and at Blessed Sacrament Church.
There will be a special mass for her at Blessed Sacrament Church ( 194 4th Ave., Ottawa) at 1:00 pm on Saturday, January 14, 2022 followed by a Celebration of Life at 2:30 pm at Hulse, Playfair and McGarry Funeral Home ( 315 McLeod St., Ottawa). In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Ottawa Mission, the Salvation Army or the Heron Food Bank.
