Reunited on Valentines Day. After too many years apart, our beloved mom Correen has joined our much-loved stepdad Clarence, who passed on November 9, 2013. He no doubt greeted her with her favorite red roses, as he often did in life.
Correen is survived by her children Deborah Salo (Raymond Yakeleya) and Darrel Salo; grandchildren Laura Salo and Jesse Salo; great grandchildren Kalobe Salo and Alexis Salo; brother-in-law Lehman Thompson (Marlene); sister-in-law Irene Salo; honorary granddaughters Kelsey, Trina and Tracy Ewashkiw and their parents Cindy and Jim Ewashkiw, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Correen was predeceased by parents Gehard and Maude Sather: sisters Phyllis Thompson and Lorraine Hoffman; brothers Leonard, Leroy, and Dwayne Sather.
A special thank you to the pastoral staff at Refinery Church, Mom’s longtime GP Dr Chrzanowski, and to the staff as Rosedale Seniors Living (especially Mary!) where Correen lived in the last months of her life, as well as to the excellent staff who treated her at the Royal Alexandra Hospital during her final weeks.
Correen and Clarence were very involved during their lifetime at Refinery Church, leaving their church family to mourn their loss.
Memorial donations in Correen’s name may be made directly to Refinery Church.
