Morley Peter Moe Fox 1935 2022

Obituary of Morley Peter Fox
Passing on July 6, 2022, Moe was born in Toronto on June 18, 1935 to William Frederick “Fred” Fox and Anna Wilhemina “Willa” Caldwell and was predeceased by his older brother, Carl. He moved to Ottawa as a young boy to the Holland Ave. area and went to school at Devonshire and Fisher Park (the first year it was built). He joined Ottawa Hydro and met his wife Diana (nee Henderson, died 1996) who worked at the Human Resource department (apparently, she checked out his file before their first date). A long-time resident in the Crystal Beach neighbourhood, he worked for Northern Electric as a technical illustrator/draftsman for many years at the Carling Ave. campus until it eventually became Nortel. As an avid fisherman and hunter, he loved the outdoors and was able to fulfill one of his dreams of salmon fishing in the Queen Charlotte Islands in northern BC in 2019. Failing health in 2020 had him moving to Unitarian House where his mother and uncle previously lived. He is survived by 2 daughters Nadine (Brian Gow), and Christine Robinson and four grandkids: Russell and Hayley Gow; Haydon and Matthew Robinson. His sense of humour (poppy jokes), kindness, and many photographs and the sketches he did will be missed; as well by all his friends that he met on his journey of life. Some even referred to him as the ’Rock’. With the love of birds as he got older, the Blue Jay reflects him: “A Blue Jay teaches us the art of Fearlessness!” Rest in peace and fly free.
Thank you to the Unitarian House for being such a great home to him and the nurses and doctors at the HD (Dialysis) unit at the Civic – Main campus.
