Monique Garant Roozen 2022

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Mother and Oma on May 4, 2022 surrounded by her family. Reunited with her beloved husband Gregory (2005). Loving mother of Michelle Panagiotopoulos (Dan St. Pierre) and Renee Jacobs (Jason). Cherished Oma of Thomas, Ryan, Nate and Grace. Treasured daughter of the late Kees and Maria Roozen. Dear sister of Leonard Roozen (Linda). Sister-in-law of Catherine Chaykoski, Brian and Sandy Garant. Loved aunt of Brendan, Justin, Glen and Shannon. Lovingly remembered by her cousins Marjon, Frank, Sarah and Courtney. Predeceased by her loving aunt Toos Rouschop. Dear longtime friend of Vivian Gagnon.
In 1982 Monique’s husband Greg was in a tragic accident and required full time care throughout the rest of his life. Without hesitation Monique dedicated the rest of her life to his in home care until his death in 2005. That year she was awarded The Grey Power Caregiver Award for her selfless dedication and service. Monique was instrumental in keeping her family together and her children are forever proud and eternally grateful.
Special thanks to the Dr.Y. Emara palliative care team, especially Stephanie, Moo-gay, Tammy and Tracey for their support, patience and compassionate care. We are extremely grateful; you made a big difference during this difficult time. In kindness, memorial donations to Transition to Betterness would be appreciated by the family.
Cremation and a private service for family and friends, details to follow.
