Monica Olive Howie Formerly Pfaff Steyn Friday April 8 2022

Howie, Monica Olive (prev. Pfaff, neé Steyn)
Jan. 1, 1936 – Apr. 8, 2022
It is with shock and deep sadness that we announce the passing of Monica after a very brief illness. Monica, retired, had been a foreperson at Tonka Toys, and at Durham and Peel District School Boards. A poised and stylish lady, she enjoyed laughing, dancing, entertaining friends, travelling, and maintaining her tasteful and immaculate doll-house-style home and garden. Her hobbies included sewing, knitting and baking.
Monica was married to Samuel Mouncey Howie for 37 years and previously to Oscar Julian Pfaff for 26 years. Monica had three daughters: Shereen Woodworth, spouse Alex Dobo (her children Brandon & Tiffany), Therese Gould, spouse Walter Gould (their children Paul & Monica), Tashia Fitzgibbon, spouse Robert (her children Kyle, Justin, Forest, Trent, and Kyle’s son Hudson). Our hearts are broken and her passing will forever leave a void. Please join us for desserts as we celebrate Monica’s life on Wednesday, April 13, from 3-5pm at the Carruthers & Davidson Funeral Home, Wasaga Beach Chapel, 509 River Road West, Wasaga Beach, ON.
Donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society. To sign Monica’s Book of Memories or to forward a message of condolence to her family please visit www.carruthersdavidson.com
