Mme Shirley Brown nee Wren 2022

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Shirley Brown at the age of 87. Beloved wife of the late George Brown (1987). Predeceased by her brother Bill Wren. Loving Mother to Don (Sandy), Jo-Anne Houghton (David), Bob (Tracy) and Ken. She was the proud grandmother to Kevin, Christopher, Kimberley, Candice, Jessica, Katie, Landon, Tyler, Shane and Hannah. She was also the proud great grandmother of 8 children. She leaves behind extended family and friends
Mom lived in Montreal all her life, raising her family in Dorval. She enjoyed the community she lived in and participated in many things. She was a member of Strathmore United Church and president of her UCW unit for many years. She enjoyed her coffee group and her red hat gatherings. Mom kept active after Dad passed, taking up golfing and bowling. Most of all, she enjoyed her ever growing family.
The family wishes to thank the Verdun Hospital Palliative Unit, especially Dr. Chaufour and R.N. Doina for their excellent care, and also the Teresa Dellar Palliative Care Residence for their support and kindness.
Visitations on Saturday, October 8, 2022, at J.J.Cardinal Funeral Home, 560 Lakeshore, Dorval, H9S 2B3 from 9 to 10:30 am, followed by a service in the chapel at 10:30. Burial to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to some of Mom’s favorite charities: Canadian Cancer Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation and MS Society.
