It is with great sadness that the family of Milicent “Milly” Leyton Knights announce her passing on March 3, 2022 at the age of 85. She was born in Aberdeen, Scotland, in 1936, moved to Toronto in 1962, but always remained very proud of her Scottish roots.
She is pre-deceased by her parents Millicent and Leyton Bruce and sisters Heather (2000) and Doreen (2008). She is survived by her husband, of nearly 55 years, Bruce and children Brenda (Andrew Gomes) and Brian, sister Norma (Fred Janz) of California and grand-children Noah and Natalie as well as many nieces, nephews and in-laws. Milicent was a loving wife, proud mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend, and more, whose strength, kindness, and sense of humour will be sorely missed by all who were lucky enough to know her.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Trillium Hospital, Holland Christian Homes and Bethell Hospice for their excellent care in her final weeks, months and hours. .
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 10, 2022 at Holland Christian Homes, 7950 McLaughlin Road South, Brampton.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to a cause that you find worthwhile or do something nice for someone who you think needs some help. Pay it forward and help make the world a bit brighter.
