Obituary
Mickey was born in Westlock, AB and raised at Larkspur in the Dapp, AB area. Her twelve children were raised near Long Island Lake where Mickey lived most of her adult life. She worked hard and loved deeply. She was the last remaining child of Elsie and Ole Holmstrom, having been predeceased by siblings: Daisy, Alice, Chuck, Helmer, Leland and Dorothy.
Mickey passed away peacefully on April 2, 2022 with family at her side following a brief illness. She would be tickled to have you know Engelbert sang her home with (Please Release Me).
Mickey is survived by her children: Russell (Debbie), Randy (Chris), Phyliss (Nigel), Peggy (Charlie), Harvey (Grace), Allen (Linda), Connie (Barry), Corinne (Ken), Murray, Lloyd, Lennard (Barb)and daughter in law Lorianne; nephew Sid was also like a bonus son to her. Mickey was also a Gramma to thirty-one grandchildren, forty six great grandchildren and two 2 great great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews that were as close as her children as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
She was predeceased by her son Lester and grandchildren Lindsay and Lance.
Her wishes were to be cremated and for a private family Memorial. She was well loved by many and will be greatly missed.
