Michel Castonguay, 60, of Moncton, passed away on
Wednesday October 19, 2022. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the
late Reno and Rena (Hébert)
Castonguay.
He is survived by his two children: Serena
Fleming (Stephen Hennigar) of Riverview and Stéphane (Mia
Bisson) of Moncton; six brothers and sisters: Roma Sohni (Manfred) of
Washington State, France (Terry Donaldson),
Hélène Castonguay, Denise (Robert LaPlante) all
of Montreal, QC, Rodrigue of Edmundston, NB, and Louise (Rick Caissie)
of Memramcook, NB.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by one
brother, Gilles Castonguay (Bernadette) Fredericton,
NB.
Michel was affectionately referred to as
“Loud Grampy” and is remembered by his four grandchildren:
Layla, Olivier, Emma, and Sophia, as well as many nieces, and
nephews.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette
Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) on
Wednesday, October 26, 2022, from 2 to 3 pm followed by a sharing of
memories at 3 pm. In memory of Michel, a contribution to The Moncton
Headstart Christmas Food Box Program would be
appreciated.
