Michael William Doucher Wednesday November 2nd 2022

DOUCHER, Michael William (aka. The Duke)
Passed at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, November 2nd 2022 at the age of 76. Loving husband of the late Catherine Doucher (d. 2021); dear father of James (Susan), Timothy and Christopher (Dawn); proud grandfather to Penn, Maya and Kirsi; caring brother of Anne (Dan) and Tom (Carol-Ann). The Duke had many dear friends, that meant the world to him, from various chapters in his wonderful life. Mike was born in Sarnia, Ont. to William (d. 1987) and Margaret (d. 1997) Doucher, graduated from King’s College (‘67), followed by a career in business as a partner in the accounting firm of Clarkson Gordon/E&Y. Mike loved sports (Leafs and Jays) and had a huge passion for golf; including past work as a Governor of the Royal Canadian Golf Association, and a past Chairman of the Canadian Open. As per Mike’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will take place at a later date. For those who wish, donations in Mike’s honour to the Canadian Diabetes Association (www.diabetes.ca), Heart & Stroke Canada (www.heartandstroke.ca) or The Trevor Project (thetrevorproject.org) would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
