January 27, 1939 – September 6, 2022
Passed peacefully at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital, on September 6, 2022 at the age of 83. Beloved husband of Marilynne. Loving father of Cathryn and David (Patti), and stepfather to Rhae (Tim) and Jason (Myriam). Proud grandfather of Shaun and Eric (Joanne) and stepgrandfather to Raquel and Dillon (Nayiri). Dear husband of the late Pauline (1982). Michael will also be fondly remembered by nieces, nephews and extended family in Canada and England. Michael served on many boards in the Muskoka region, including: Muskoka Community Cooperative, Algonquin Child and Family Services, Community YWCA of Muskoka, Arts Council of Muskoka, The Friends (Muskoka/Parry Sound), Big Brothers Big Sisters of Muskoka, Family Youth and Child Services of Muskoka, Algonquin Health Services, Hospice Muskoka, Muskoka Lake Music Festival, and the Muskoka Business Development Corporation. Private family services with interment at Greenwood Cemetery. If desired, memorial contributions to the ALS Society or Acclaim Health-Dementia Care would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
