Michael P. Stoyles
December 9, 1948 – April 24, 2022
It is with sad hearts that we announce that Mike has completed his journey in this world and passed peacefully away at home after a short and courageous battle with ALS. Mike also fought various cancers in his short life, but always faced his life, cancer and finally ALS with a positive attitude and so much determination, just like he showed when behind the plate or on the ice.
He is now reunited with his parents, William and Kathleen Stoyles, and his siblings Helen and Ray Stoyles.
Leaving to mourn his loving and devoted wife of more than 50 years, Marie (Holden). Till we meet again.
He is missed dearly by his son Michael (Brenda), his daughter Marlo Clarke (Joe) and his dear grandsons Joseph and Peter Stoyles, Joey, Noah, and Nathan Clarke. The boys all looked up to pop with such admiration and learned quite young that “if pop can’t fix it, it can’t be fixed”.
Also leaving to mourn Mike are his siblings Catherine, Bill (Bernadette), Betty Briffett (Louis), Jerry and Reg (Lucy); his brothers-in-law Gerry, Joe (Elizabeth), Peter (Suzanne), Pat (Marion), Nick and Paul (Kelly); his sisters-in-law, Kay Connors (Bob), Margaret Henley (John), Patsy Holmes (Dennis), Janet Lacey (Bill), Sydney Merrigan (Clar), Lelia Holden and Carmel Chan (Peter).
Mike also leaves to mourn a very large circle of nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
A special thank you to Mike’s home care worker Sandi, Drs. Wagoner and Daulton and the palliative care paramedics for all their assistance.
