With broken hearts the family of Michael James Dabanovich announces his passing on Monday, April 11, 2022, at St. Joseph’s Hospice at the age of 58. Loving father of Jordan. Beloved brother of Don (Maxine) and Jamie (Amy). Cherished nephew of Bob and Michele Train, Jim and Janie Train, Garry and Anne Law, Doug and Pat MacNeil. Loving uncle to Susan, Michael, Heather, Devin and Victoria. He will be missed by many cousins and friends. Predeceased by his loving wife Pui, his parents Don and Betty Dabanovich, sister Susan, grandparents Jim and Edith Train, Tomo and Pearl Dabanovich and his uncle Wes Dabanovich. Mike was very active in sports, playing hockey and baseball in the SMAA. He loved golf and joined a golf league in Thailand where he met and married his beautiful wife Pui and had an incredible son Jordan. Unfortunately Mike was an avid Habs fan as well as the New York Yankees. The family of Mike Dabanovich would like to thank the Doctors and staff on the Palliative floor as well as St. Joseph’s Hospice for their great work and kind hearts in our time of need. A special thank you to Dr. John O’Mahony for all his help through this very hard process. Cremation has taken place. Family and friends will be received at a Celebration of Life on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at Antonio’s Restaurant in Corunna at 1:00 p.m. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to Heaven’s Wildlife Rescue (cheques only at the funeral home please).
