Michael Joseph Brown July 9th 1951 October 26th 2022

It is with great sadness that the family of Michael Joseph Brown announce his sudden passing on Wednesday, October 26, 2022, at the age of 71.
Beloved husband of Dianne, with whom he celebrated 50 years of marriage on September 16th.
Loving father of Michelle Brown of Corunna and Laurie (John) Nancekivell of London.
Cherished grandfather of Kaylin and Kamryn Mosher and Brayden Nancekivell.
Also survived by his siblings, Susan (Ron) Morphew, Pat Brown, Alice Stoner, Rob (Janice) Brown and his in-laws: Rosemary (Don) Mickalko, Pat Hare and Doug Palframan.
Predeceased by his parents, Joseph (1980) and Lorraine (1997) Brown and parents-in-law Olive (2005) and Roy (2021) Hare and sister-in-law Joanne Palframan (2001).
At the young age of 20, Mike met the love of his life, Dianne, and they married in September 1972. Together they raised two beautiful daughters, Michelle and Laurie.
Mike also joined the Sarnia Police Service in 1972 where he began his 33-year long successful career as a dedicated officer, eventually retiring as Deputy Chief in 2005. Not only did Mike dedicate many years to the Sarnia Police Service, he was active in supporting the Sarnia Police Association as both President and Treasurer.
During retirement, Mike found fulfillment spending time with his family, travelling and golfing. He was proud of completing the “USA Four Corners Tour“ on his motorcycle and has been a longtime member of St. Clair Parkway Golf Course. He was fortunate to have spent his last day on the links with Dianne.
His most treasured role in life was Grandpa to Kaylin, Kamryn and Brayden. He was always eager to share his helpful life hacks and quick wit.
The family wishes to thank the first responders and all staff at Bluewater Health who gave such compassionate care to Mike.
