Obituary
It is with broken hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Michael D. Cleary of Harbour Main at the age 76 years on Monday, December 19th, 2022 at the Carbonear General Hospital.
He was predeceased by his parents; Joe and Evelyn Cleary, Father and Mother-in- law; Lawrence and Margaret Whelan, sister Josephine, brother Gerard, nieces Kelly & Stephanie and nephew Sean Whelan
Left behind to cherish and celebrate his life are his wife and best friend of 52 years, Agnes, two sons; David and Donny (Tammy), two precious grandchildren; Briana and Jaxon, brothers: Ben (Maureen), Joe (Lorraine), Jim, Patrick, Noel (Corinne) and Bob (Kim), sisters: Patricia (Gerard), Linda, Michelle (Dan), Helen (Rick), Gerry (Allan) and Frances (Alan), brothers-in-law: Gary, Jim, Tom, Cyril (Shirley), Marty and Lar (Marg), special cousin Mildred, many nieces and nephews, as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends who will fondly remember him.
At Mick’s request, cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Dunphy’s Funeral Home, Holyrood on Thursday, December 22nd, 2022 from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Harbour Main on Friday, December 23rd, 2022 at 10:30 am (For those unable to attend, the service will be livestreamed with the link available below) with inurnment to follow at Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Harbour Main.
Flowers gratefully accepted or donation in Mick’s memory may be made to Sts. Peter and Paul Parish or Cemetery.
