Obituary of Mervin McCullough
McCULLOUGH, Mervin.
With great sadness, the family of Mervin McCullough announces his passing on June 6, 2022, at Columbia Forest Long Term Care, after a brief illness in his 92nd year.
Beloved husband and best friend of Janet McCullough, and loving father of Louise (Bill) Hackett and Peter McCullough. He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren, Brad (Alyssa) Hackett, Cory (Angela) McCullough, Rachel (Aaron) Garibaldi, Jenna (Justin) Martin, and his 8 great grandchildren. Survived by his siblings, Gordon (Mary) McCullough, Shirley (Roy) Hinsperger and Norman (Colleen) McCullough, as well as his sisters-in-law, Marian Tucker, Pat (George) Beatty and Joyce McCullough. Predeceased by his parents, Frederick and Elizabeth McCullough and his brother Bruce McCullough.
A licensed mechanic, Merv and his business partner operated a service station in Waterloo for 15 years. Merv then worked at Bauer Industries, as a tool and die maker, until he retired. But Merv’s favourite work was probably the many hours he spent caring for his cottage near Bayfeild, Ontario, surrounded by family and friends.
Mervin’s family would like to thank the staff at Columbia Forest for the exceptional care he received while he was there. Cremation has taken place and the family will be having a private family celebration of life at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, donations can be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation and may be arranged through the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street S., Waterloo www.erbgood.com or 519-745-8445.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Mervin
