Merville Cratte 1948 2022

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of
Merville Cratte (74 years) of Moncton at his residence after a lengthy
illness on Friday November 18, 2022.
Born in Saint John, he was the son of the late Frederick
Walter and Elva (Cain) Cratte.
Merville is survived by his devoted wife Althea of 37
years.
He is missed by his sisters in law Arlene Morris, Cheryl
Melburn and Janet (Floyd) Tolman as well as several beloved nieces and
nephews.
In addition to his parents, Merville was predeceased by his
sister; Frances Kelley and his great nephew, Brandon
Kelley.
Merville was a graduate of St. Thomas University and was
employed for 23 years with Corrections Canada and retired with an
exemplary service metal.
He served as a Past Master of Zetland and Masonic
Lodge.
A man of many accomplishments and interests he was a
certified hypnosis instructor and a N.L.P.
Practitioner.
The neighborhood children will remember Merville on Halloween
as the “Wizard of First Ave.”
At his request there will be no funeral
service.
Interment will be in Fairhaven Memorial
Gardens.
Donations in Merville’s memory made to the Memorial of the
donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
