Obituary of Merton Brown
Brown, Merton Sherman – 84 of Cheverie passed away on June 11th, 2022, at Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born on November 2nd, 1937, in Bramber, he was a son to the late Sherman and Agnes (Rolfe) Brown.
Merton devoted and applied his trade as a Mechanic and Welder for most of his working career at K-Mart in Sackville. His love for music was apparent at a young age, as he loved playing the guitar and later spent many nights jamming bluegrass songs with his friends. Merton loved his family and friends and will be forever remembered as a devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend to all that knew him.
Merton is survived by loving wife of 64 years Mary Eleanor (Weatherbee), daughters Darlene (Leroy) Alders, Maxine (Greg) Brison, Janet (Jimmie) Brown, Della Brown, son Perry (Bonnie) Brown, grandchildren Jamie, Megan, Elizabeth, Fred, Sam, Bev, Jeremy, Jill, Andrew, David, Cory, Emily and Ethan, 19 great-grandchildren, and one on the way, sister Ruth Crossley.
Besides his parents, Merton is predeceased by sisters Reta Brown and Marie Crowell.
There will be a Graveside Committal Service held in the Bramber Cemetery on Saturday, June 25th, 2022, at 2pm, Rev. Garnet Parker officiating.
Donations in memory of Merton can be made to the Bramber Cemetery.
