Obituary of Merle Frances Leduc
After a brief illness, it is with heavy hearts that our family announces the passing of Merle Leduc (nee Conway) of St-Eugene on Tuesday, July 12, 2022 surrounded by her family at the Hawkesbury General Hospital at the age of 87 years. Predeceased by her parents William Conway and Florence McDonell. Beloved wife of the late Jack Leduc. Proud and loving mother of Donna Marie (Terry Cathcart), Dean (Lorraine), Dale (Jim Kelly) and Kevin (Mary). Dearly loved “Mama” of her 9 grandchildren and “Mama Merle” of her 17 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Louise Perrier of St Jerome. Predeceased by her brothers Carson, Kevin and Russell and her sister Patsy. Sadly missed by her many nieces and nephews. She was blessed to have so many know and love her.
Special thank you to the many caring Doctors and especially the dedicated nurses and support staff from the ICU and 2nd Floor Medical Unit of the Hawkesbury General Hospital.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at St-Eugene Catholic Church, 1108 Labrosse Street, St-Eugene on Thursday, July 21, 2022 at 11 am. Family will be in attendance from 10 am to receive condolences. Interment parish cemetery followed by a reception at the Chute-a-Blondeau Community Centre.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Hawkesbury General Hospital or the Vankleek Hill Food Bank would be appreciated by the family.
