Merilan Mae Stroud
It is with a heavy heart we announce the passing of Merilan Mae Stroud on April 13th, 2022 at Muskoka Landing.
Beloved mother of Christine (Craig) Taylor, Sandy Johnson, Joe (Vicky) Barnes, Roxanne Barnes, and Joanne (Bryan Emery). She is the cherished grandmother to several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Predeceased by her parents Marjory (Herbert) and Rueben Stroud, Her husband Marvin Barnes , son Ricky Barnes, and her son in laws Roy Johnson and William Strothers.
Merilan loved the great outdoors, spending time with nature, fishing, camping and loved all animals.
Once she retired she spent her time volunteering at the Aspen Wildlife Center and fostered many animals to their full potential.
To honor her wishes cremation has taken place. If so desired, memorial donations may be made in her honor at any OSPCA.
