“You are my sunshine, my only sunshine. You make me happy when skies are grey, you’ll never know dear how much I love you, please don’t take my sunshine away…
Although in this life you will never be able to sing songs like this to our children again, we have so many beautiful memories, pictures and videos that you will in some form be able to sing songs to your children forever. You have my promise that you will never miss a birthday or a Christmas and will still be able to dance at their weddings.
You are loved and will be missed by so many. You had the most amazing smile and the most beautiful eyes this world has ever seen.
One thing on this earth we have done right together was bringing 3 smart, kind, compassionate, adaptable and amazing children into this world. It is in that spirit that I have chosen not to publish our kids names here. I know that you would not want the first thing the kids see when they “Google” their own names is their mothers obituary.
We have created an amazing foundation for our children. Although your departure was unexpected, you did not leave the raising of our children to me alone. Wherever you are you need to know that there is an amazing community of friends and family that surrounds us. We got this.
I don’t have to tell the people who love you what kind of person you were. Those people already know. On your behalf though, I want to make sure that you can help at least one person on this earth avoid an unnecessary exit from this life.
To anyone reading this. If you are sick or know someone who is, please don’t ignore it. Go see your doctor, visit a clinic, do what you have to do to be well. If you are a true friend to a stubborn person who refuses to see a doctor or makes excuses not to go you need to put that to an end right here right now. I assure you, the consequences are far worse than an angry or annoyed friend. Life is about moments, please don’t take them for granted. Put your phones down, go outside, smile, laugh, play. Hug your children, hug your neighbours. Stay happy, stay safe and sing songs.
We will still talk often my 22.”
No service will be held. Interment of ashes will take place in the Spring. Donations to the Canadian Mental Health Association would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Melissa Dawn Leroux Lye Friday March 4th 2022..
Death notice for the town of: Sudbury, Province: Ontario
My heart is broken.
I am so sorry for your loss. My condolences to the family. Melissa was a good friend in elementary and high school.
She always tried to make the best of every situation. She was so goofy and could make me laugh in an instant. I wish so badly we had not lost touch. I wish I would have been there for her. I am so sorry.
