Obituary of Maxine Marie Davis
Grief fills our hearts and tears cloud our eyes as the family are saddened to announce that on January 13, 2022, our mother, Maxine Marie (Cross) Davis born November 09, 1951, passed peacefully away at The Central Newfoundland Regional Health Center in Grand Falls-Windsor. As we look through decades of photos, it is most evident that her legacy was being the most loving and devote mother she could be and not only to her biological children, but to dozens of other children she considered family. To all her children, the parental example was to love and help others. That was her legacy.
Mom loved many things and she was never been one to turn down a game of cards; she loved baking, and even more so, loved baking for others.
Maxine is predeceased by her parents, Robert and Edna Cross; parents-in-law Greg and Maggie Davis; brother Derrick, sister and brother-in-laws, Jerry Fleming; Betty (Joe) Byrne; Joe (Pat) Downton; Constance (Len) Lewis; Greg (Florence) Davis and Mary Davis.
Mom passed from this world leaving her husband, Terry of 50 years along with son, Trevor (Patti) and daughter, Terrilynn (Dean). She leaves to mourn her brothers Rex (Ruth) and Ellis (Charmaine); as well sisters Barb (Jack), Linda (Bern), Viola, Dorothy (Gord) and Joyce (Ron); sister and brother in-laws Fern, Gord, Paula (Wayne), and Joan (John). Along with her grandchildren (not biological) whom she loved dearly are Rhonda, Christina, Courtney and Hailey, Kurt, Luke, and Ryan – and special family friends Christina (Robert) Fudge; along with many of her nieces and nephews and friends – too many to mention.
Mom… Our minds still think of you; Our hearts still look for you; Our souls know you are finally at peace. We all love you so much.
Her smile was magical and was never forced.
Funeral service will take place Friday, February 25, 2022 at 11:00 AM from The Sacred Heart Church, Bishop’s Falls.
