Maxine LESTER 1934 2022

At the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on Tuesday, August 16,
2022, Maxine Lester of Fredericton passed away at the age of 88. Born
in Fredericton, she was a daughter of the late Harold and Gladys
(Hare) Donovan and wife of the late Blaine Lester.
During her working years, Maxine was employed with the
Canadian Armed Forces in a clerical capacity. She later volunteered
for the Red Cross for 10 years. She enjoyed crocheting and baking.
Everyone she met loved her and she felt blessed to have met everyone
she came in to contact with. Her faith and love of the Lord was
immeasurable.
Maxine is survived by her two sons, Michael of Edmonton, AB
and Trevan (Bonnie) of Oromocto; one daughter Krisann Kerr (John) of
Marysville; five grandchildren Terry Gagnon, Michelle King, Nicole
King, Tasha Murray and Rebecca Lester; five great-grandchildren; she
was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Although there will be no visitation, friends and relatives
are welcome to attend a memorial service to celebrate the life of
Maxine Lester at Bishop’s Funeral Home Chapel 540 Woodstock
Road Fredericton, NB on Wednesday August 24, 2022 at 2:00 pm with
Pastor Wayne Flowers officiating.
For those who wish, as an alternative to flowers, donations
may be made to the Cancer Research Society or a charity of the
donor’s choice.
