Obituary
It is with full hearts that the family of Maxine Leola Janes announce her passing at the Loch Lomond Villa on March 3, 2022. Born in Saint John on May 13, 1931 she was a daughter of the late Howard and Edna (Amber) Chandler, and the wife of the late Russell Gilbert Janes. Maxine was a past member of the Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary Branch # 53, she also enjoyed being a member of TOPS, bowling, knitting & crocheting, and most of all she cherished every moment she spent in the company of her family and friends. She is survived by her sons: Gilbert Janes, Harold Chandler (Margaret), David MacLeod; her daughters: Edna Malderis (Maris), Pearl Mattson (Arnold), Linda Hannah (Paul), Geraldine Cobbett (Ronald), Maryanne Clarke (Timothy), Audrey Martin (Leo), Ruth Nelson (Rodger); as well as by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, extended family members and friends. As well as by her parents and husband, Maxine was predeceased by 4 brothers and a sister. Arrangements have been entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (506-646-24242). A Celebration of Maxine’s Life will be held on Tuesday March 8, 2022 from 1PM – 3 PM in Fundy Funeral Home. Interment will be held in Fernhill Cemetery.
