Obituary of Maxine Elisabeth Brimicombe
BRIMICOMBE , Maxine Elisabeth, age 84, of Wellington, passed away October 26, 2022, in the Halifax Infirmary Site, QEII Health Sciences Centre, Halifax. Born in Oldham, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Kathleen (Dillman) Ferguson.
Maxine worked for Moir’s Chocolates for over 40 years. She was an avid bingo player. Family meant the world to her. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and she will be deeply missed by all.
She is survived by her daughter, Lynn; grandson Jamie (Donna); great grandson, Colby Raymond Brimicombe; sister, Flora Stoddart; nephews, Richard (Darlene) Pye and Frankie Pye.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Raymond Brimicombe.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held 6-8pm Sunday, October 30, 2022, in Ettinger Funeral Home, 2812 Highway 2, Shubenacadie, from where a funeral service will be held 11am Tuesday, November 1, 2022, Rev. Carl Fraser officiating. Burial will follow in St. Margaret’s Anglican Cemetery, Oakfield.
Special thanks to the doctors and nurses of the QEII Halifax Infirmary for the excellent care during the past weeks.
Memorial donations in memory of Maxine may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
