Obituary of Maxine Claudette Bouchard
Maxine (Bubsy) Claudette Bouchard aged 75, passed away May 2nd, 2022 at Strathmere Lodge, Strathroy.
Maxine was born in Sault Ste. Marie in a snowstorm on March 24th, 1947 and moved to Strathroy in the late 1950’s after her parents established their own business, Bouchard Cleaners. Maxine was an accomplished artist and earned a Bachelor of Fine Art from Western University as a mature student. She was also a very experienced dry-cleaning finisher, a personal caregiver and held other part time jobs to support her love of art. Maxine was an outdoors person, loved wildlife, photography and had a beautiful garden at her London home. She loved her many pets.
Maxine is predeceased by her parents Maurice and Dorothy Bouchard and her sister Beryl. Loving sister of Louise (Clayton) Connolly, Gerald Bouchard and Linda (Craig) Nicks. Maxine will be fondly missed by her many nieces, nephews and friends.
The family would like to thank the staff of Strathmere Lodge for all their compassion and care.
There will be no visitation or service. In memoriam, donations may be made to the charity of your choice or the Upper Thames River Conservation Authority. Maxine was passionate about walking in Westminster Ponds, one of the authority’s London parks. Arrangements entrusted to Denning’s of Strathroy, www.strathroyfuneralhome.com.
