MAURICE ORVIS
April 6, 1944 – December 28, 2021
Maurice (Moe) passed away at Deer Lodge Center on December 28, 2021.
Moe is survived by his children Chelsea, Shauna and John, sisters Helen and Donna and brother Glen. He was predeceased by his parents.
John and Catherine Orvis; brothers Harold, Charlie, John, Doug, Brian; sisters Lorna and Velma.
Moe was born in Selkirk Manitoba. He commenced his career in meat cutting at Russell Foods in Selkirk, MB later working for IGA in Fort McMurray, AB.
As a young boy he was an avid hockey player. He was also an avid duck hunter and cribbage player. He enjoyed many days spent at his parents’ cottages in Grand Marais and Balsam Bay.
He was always willing to help out family and friends when needed. His quick wit and humor brought a smile to those that knew him.
The family would like to express their thanks to the staff at Deer Lodge Center where Moe received excellent care and support.
In keeping with Moe’s wishes there will not be a service.
