Obituary for Maureen Beverley Beaudry (née Irwin)
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Maureen (October 25, 1963 – November 20, 2022) at the young age of 59 years old. She was born to Bill and Valerie (predeceased) Irwin at the General Hospital in Sudbury, Ontario and spent most of her childhood on “the hill” by Centennial Arena. She is survived by her high school sweetheart and husband, Robert (Bob) Beaudry, who spent 44 remarkable years with her. She was a true mama bear to her children, Courtney (Ryan) and Colton and the best Memère to her adored grandchildren, Myer and Miller. She will be greatly missed by her father and her sisters, Janis (Renato) and Christine (Vince), as well as her in-laws and extended family. Her nieces and nephews will forever cherish the many good memories and laughs they had with her. Maureen was well known for her bubbly personality, humour, loyalty, caring nature and strength. Her world revolved around her family and she was often overheard bragging about her children and grandchildren to all of her friends.
Maureen had a great passion and commitment to the Deaf and Deafblind communities and the Canadian Hearing Services. When she was first hired with CHS, she helped build the program for the Deafblind and then transitioned to the General Support Services Counselor. She was one of the longest serving staff members spending a total of 30 years with CHS. She was highly respected by her coworkers and was a very strong support system to her clients.
Her family would like to extend immense gratitude to the St. Joseph’s Continuing Care Centre of Sudbury’s staff. A special thank you to Jasmine, Stephanie, Nadia and Dr. Poulin for going above and beyond with your care.
