Obituary of Mary Gladas Weir
May 3, 1931- June 4, 2022
Mary Weir of Wiarton passed peacefully with family by her side at Country Lane Long Term Care Home in Chatsworth. She was in her 92nd year. Mary is survived by her husband Lorne Archibald Weir of 69 years. Mother of Ruth of Wiarton, Dave (Carol) of Mar, Janice (Finley Cameron) of Lion’s Head, and Dennis (Trudy) of Vanderhoof, B.C. Survived by 11 grandchildren, Bonnie, Ray, Karen, and Earl Cameron, Barb, Brad, Ben, and Will Weir, and Paul, Candace, and Scott Weir, and by 10 great-grandchildren. Also survived by sisters Bess Phillips, Floss Miller, and Marg Cramm, and sister-in-laws, Edna Day, Maisie (Howard) Hepburn, and Ruth Cunningham. Predeceased by parents, James and Mary Jane (Rodgers) Cunningham, in-laws, Archie and Alice (White) Weir, brothers, Tom, Gerald, and Dave, and by brothers and sisters-in-law Hester Cunningham, Winnie Cunningham, Bill Chappel, Lawrence Phillips, Glen Miller, Allan Cramm, Mildred (Jack McArthur), Don (Joyce) Weir, Allan Day, Harvey (Betty) Weir, Jack (Clara) Weir, Jenny (Roy Barnes).
Friends may call at the GEORGE FUNERAL HOME, Wiarton Thursday June 9, 2022 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted from the funeral home Friday June 10, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior to the service. All those attending either the visitation or funeral service are encouraged to wear a mask. Interment Colpoy’s Bay Cemetery. Expressions of remembrance to Chapman House Residential Hospice of Grey Bruce or the Bruce Peninsula Hospitals Foundation would be appreciated.
