Obituary of Mary Borisenko
BORISENKO- Mary Borisenko (nee Bara) of St. Thomas, passed away peacefully alongside her family at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital on Thursday, January 20, 2022 at the age of 66. Mary is survived by her beloved husband Alexander; her loving daughters Amanda (Thomas) Mehall and their children Zachary, Lydia, Nathaniel and Isaiah, Marla Borisenko (Szabolcs Kulcsar) and her children Noah, Nickolas and Jacob, and Cheryl Borisenko and her daughter Jade; by her mother Beatrice (late Stanley) Bara; by her siblings Stanley (Eileen) Bara, Jana Bara, Eva (Richard) Dors; by her brother-in-law Terry (Lynda) Borisenko; and by her many other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mary was a servant of the Lord with a beautiful singing voice and she was a true example of a virtuous woman according to Proverbs 31:10-31. Mary was a co-owner of Amalade Estates Ltd. in St. Thomas. Mary served and attended Church faithfully her entire life. Mary has impacted numerous lives throughout the community always showing a self-sacrificing love to all. Visitation will be held at Shawn Jackson Funeral Home, 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570) on Saturday, January 29, 2022 from 12:00 noon until 1:00 pm, when the ceremony will be held in the chapel.
