Obituary of Mary Applin
December 26th, 1940 – December 22nd, 2022
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mary Applin, our beautiful mother, grandmother and great grandmother, in her 82nd year. She passed away peacefully with her family at her side.
Mary is pre-deceased by her one true love Gideon. She will be deeply missed by her loving children, Beverly Burger, Todd(Laura) and Sheryl Anderson(Brad), her grandchildren Christine(Leo), Jessica(Austin), Jeffrey, Tyler(Katherine), Josh(Samantha), Richie and Hannah, great grandchildren Jayden, Charlotte, Emma, Zayn, Harley, Delilah, Lincoln and one on the way.
Mary is pre-deceased by her parents George and Hannah Genge, and will be fondly remembered by her siblings Pauline Genge(late Chelsey), Barb Loree, Calvin(Eliza), Erwin(Dorcas), Virtue Mitchelmore(late Winsor), Irene Frohlich(Norm), Ches (late Effie), Sheila Fitzpatrick (Sean), Maisie, and many brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends.
Mary loved to cook, bake, knit, walk, bike ride and most of all she cherished the time with her family. She absolutely loved nothing more than fussing over her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Mary will always be remembered for her laughter, warmth, love and kindness.
Visitation will be held on Thursday December 29th, 11am to 1pm at George Darte Funeral Home 585 Carlton St., St Catharines. Funeral service to take place following the visitation at 1pm, in the Funeral Home Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Alzheimer’s Society or The Canadian Cancer Society.
