1934 – 2021
Mary Theresa O’Shea of Bridgeview Hall and formerly of Newcastle, NB, wife of the late Norman O’Shea, passed away at Bridgeview Hall on Friday, February 5, 2022 at the age of 87. Born in Chaplain Island Road, NB, the daughter of the late Everett and Mary (McMahon) Black.
Mary was Catholic by faith and loved the lord and Blessed Virgin Mary with that she found strength, perseverance and joy. She loved playing bridge, writing, and knitting. Mary had a caring heart and she would help people in need when the time arose. She was a homemaker and loved the home she provided for her six children and husband.
Mary is survived by three daughters: Cynthia Snyder RN (James) of Bridgewater, NS, Theresa Mastel (Ben) of Bow Island, AB, Joan O’Shea of Moncton, NB; three sons: Brian (Monique) of Saskatoon, SK, Mark of Miramichi, NB, John (Tammy) of Napan, NB; eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
The family will receive visitors at Bell’s Funeral Home on Thursday, June 9, 2022 from 7-9 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Miramichi on Friday, June 10, 2022 at 10 AM. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy in Mary’s memory, donations may be made to Bridgeview Hall or a memorial of one’s choice. Messages of condolence for the family can be sent through the funeral home website at www.bellsmeadows.com
