Mary Sue Oglesby- age 82, of Knoxville, passed away Monday, March 14, 2022. Mary was of Baptist faith and a member of Riverview Baptist Church. She found great joy and loved spending time with her son, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Preceded by spouse, Vernon Oglesby; parents, Willie and Virginia Haun; brothers, Willie Jr, Fred, Robert, and Jerry Haun; sisters, Etta Beeler and Barbara Sayne.
Survived by son, Michael (Lisa) Oglesby; sisters, Martha Buckley, Minthy (Rudy) Hauther, and Sandee Smith (Randy Roberts); grandchildren, Joshua (Jessica) Oglesby, Matthew (Cassy) Oglesby and Jacob Oglesby; great grandchildren, Malachi Alexander Oglesby, Bella Claire Oglesby, Athena Grace Oglesby, and Nolan Lee Oglesby; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends 5:00-7:00 PM Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at Bridges Funeral Home with services to follow at 7:00PM with Rev. Steve Hancock officiating. Family and friends will meet at 2:45PM Thursday, March 17, 2022 to proceed to Caledonia Cemetery for an interment at 3:00PM. In lieu of flowers, the family ask that you donate to Kerbela Temple, 315 Mimosa Ave., Knoxville, TN 37920.
