Obituary of Mary Rose Josten
Josten, Mary Rose passed away peacefully at her residence, Caressant Care, Bonnie Place, St. Thomas on Monday, October 24, 2022 in her 94th year. Beloved wife of the late Johannes “John” Josten(1996). Dear mother of Anthony Josten(Joyce) of Edmonton, Alberta, John Josten(Bonnie) of Lyons, Rita Sinclair (Mark) of Toronto, Henrietta Josten of Toronto and Mary Ann Dalgleish(Brian) of London. Loving grandmother of Joshua(Krista), Jeremy(Megan), Nicole(Cory), Tiffany(Dwayne), Kyle, Samantha(Colin) and Rebecca. Sister-in-law of Chris Walcarius, Bertha Wacarius and Dina Vandenbrandt. Also survived by a number of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and family in the Netherlands and Belgium. Predeceased by her brothers Edgar and Algar Walcarius. Born in Otterville, Ontario on May 27, 1929, daughter of the late Henry and Martha (Vandewalle) Walcarius. John and Mary grew tobacco near Calton for many years. She moved to Aylmer in 2002. She was an active member of Our Lady of Sorrows R.C. Church and the C.W.L. Mary enjoyed gardening, volunteering at Assumption School and she loved walking her German Shepard. Mary was always a helping hand to her friends. Visitation at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Wednesday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. The funeral Mass will be held at the Our Lady of Sorrows R.C. Church on Thursday, October 27, 2022 at 11:00 am. Interment, Queen of Peace Cemetery. Donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
