Mary Lee Cloninger – age 97 of Strawberry Plains passed away peacefully in her home where she lived for 75 years on Saturday, August 27, 2022. Her fondest memories were working in her flowers and gathering with her family there. She was a member of Thorngrove Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by the love of her life, Army combat veteran Randolph Alonzo Cloninger; parents, Charlie and Sarah; daughter, Carolyn Lee Cloninger Farmer; son, Lonnie Cloninger; brothers, Hugh, Ed, Charles, and Floyd Russell; sister, Betty Jo Etherton; one grandchild and two great grandchildren. She is survived by sons, Allen (Helen) Cloninger, Dale Cloninger; Special Cousin, Mary Frances; daughter in law Teresa Cloninger; grandchildren, Kim Grubb, Linda (Rusty) Armstrong, Robby Cloninger, Brandy Cloninger, Amy Faucette (Buddy), Tina Cloninger, Lori (Brad) Miller, Kara Cloninger, Trenthia Farmer, Brian (Kim) Farmer; Many Loving great and great great grandchildren. The family would like to extend special thanks to Harley Swann, Mary Lee’s beloved caretaker. The family will receive friends 5:00-7:00 PM on Tuesday, August 30, 2022, at Bridges Funeral Home followed by the funeral service at 7:00 PM with Rev. Brad Miller and Pastor Tony Hayes co-officiating. Family and friends will gather 1:45 PM on Wednesday at Thorngrove Cemetery for a 2:00 PM graveside service. Serving as pallbearers will be Robby Cloninger, Brian Farmer, Layne Miller, Keagan Cloninger, Jacob Faucette, Justin Grubb and honorary pallbearer Eli Miller.
