In Love, Joy, and Sadness in our hearts
We Thank God for 90 years of blessing us with our mother, grandmother, great grandmother, family member and friend; and, for reuniting her in our Heavenly Father’s home with her parents John & Emily Kamfoly, brothers Tony, Michael & Nestor Kamfoly, sister Christine Momotiuk, former husband Victor, son David, daughter Susan, sons in law Neil Peterson and Terry Pachkowski, and great grandson Grady Balanyk.
Here to continue serving on earth is sister Elsie/Eugene Mayuk, sisters in law Rona & Marge Kamfoly, Agnes Boyachek; daughter Diane/Don Law (Melanie, Mike, Meadow Balanyk; Kevin Law/Paula Caldwell, Kadence, Madalyn); (Children of the late David Choptain), Crystal Choptain (Vivian, Victoria), Victor/Kayleen Choptain (Kira, Damian); daughter Adeline Pachkowski (Brad, Beth, Zariah); daughter Darlene/Danny Ek (Cody, Chastity); daughter Linda/Nestor Barsewsky (Melissa, Josh, Ewan, Lara MacQuarrie; Justin, Allison, Jase; Brent); daughter Iris Campbell/Beryl Brandson (Jordan, Braden Campbell); daughter Debbie/Michael Dubienski (Eden Namaka/Cory Rey, Brock, Treye Namaka).
Mary’s life was a living example of the biblical verse of Ephesians 4:32 – “And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ”.
She would say, “Do the next right thing no matter what and help wherever you can”.
She loved to love on people and ended every conversation (verbal or written) with “Love You’s All”!
Sewing, gardening, preparing her grand children’s all time favourite homemade hamburger helper and singing them her favourite song, “You Are My Sunshine” made Her HAPPY.
Born in Garland MB and educated in Zalicia & Haig schools, Mary excelled in her calling to help and serve others. She joyfully gave her God given talent of sewing to the Children of Mary church group & the Vitriwka Ukrainian dance club; and most importantly to each of her children.
In prayer with the Lord, Mom was also an active member of the Sisterhood and Women’s League of the St. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church of Ethelbert and later with the Ukrainian Catholic Parish of the Resurrection in Dauphin.
Mom was very proud of her Ukrainian culture and heritage and enjoyed attending Canada’s National Ukrainian Festival, singing in the Vitriwka Choir, watching her daughter’s Ukrainian dance and later her grandchildren. When there was a Ukrainian dance Competition in Dauphin, Mom would sit for hours, watching the performances. She also loved attending her children’s, grandchildren’s and great grandchildren’s activities, school concerts and recitals.
Her values of love, kindness and unconditional love were enacted in the life she lived. Mary leaves these seeds sewn in her life to reseed within the hearts of all her family and friends.
A private service will take place on October 22, 2022 at 10:30 am from Sneath-Strilchuk Family Care Centre, with live stream access at the link below … Burial will take place in Ethelbert, Mb
