It is with broken hearts we announce the passing of our beloved grandmother, aunt, and friend. Mary Jane MacIsaac passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 5, 2022, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital. Born December 26, 1936, Jane was the daughter of the late Angel (Deruelle) and Dan Joe Campbell. She is survived by her grandson Donnie Campbell and his wife Erica with their children Donald Jr. and Jacob and her grandson Daniel (DJ) Campbell and his wife Angie with their children Monica and Dominic. She is also survived by her daughter in law Simone Mutch, sisters in law Annette Campbell, Cena LeBlanc, and Mary Bibeau. Jane was predeceased by her parents, her husband Daniel MacIsaac, sons Donnie Campbell and Jerry MacKenzie, brothers Donnie (Mabou) Campbell and Angus Campbell and by her sisters in law Lorna Campbell and June MacIsaac.
Though her health has been failing over the past few years, Jane faced it all with a strong heart and ever-present smile, never complaining once. She and Dan enjoyed travelling in their younger years and spent many seasons camping on the Mira. Jane is now in heaven with her Dan and other family members and friends. We will forever keep Jane in our hearts, will treasure our memories, and will always love her.
Lastly, we extend thanks to the healthcare providers at CBRH ER and Palliative Care and very special thanks to the angels who cared for Jane during her final years at the Cove Guest Home. Jane loved “her girls” at the Cove.
