Obituary
Mary Jane (Jean) was born on August 3, 1941 to Dominic and Maria (Heathen) Alexan in Ministikwan Lake Cree Nation. Jean had many friends from all over and was loved by all who knew her and whom she met. She was known as mama, kokum, chapan, auntie, chakos and friend. Jean had many passions such as bingo, playing cards and visiting with friends. Her greatest past time was being with family and having family time. She cherished her adopted children who she took in as her own when her sister Marie Louise passed.
She is predeceased by: her parents, Dominic and Maria Alexan; her sisters, Mary Louise Canepotato, Florence Paddy, Jospehine Mason and Mary Alexan; her brothers, Harry and Rennie Alexan; her adopted children, Cecilia, Miles, Barbara,Velma and Maryann; her grandchildren, Karen, Kerry and Anthony; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mary Jane is survived by: her adopted children, Anne (Wilson), Violet (Carlos), Daniel, Rosie and Gladys (Marty); 25 grandchildren; and 32 great-grandchildren. Jean will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
