Mary Jacqueline Myles 1928 2022

Mary
Jacqueline Myles, born October 16, 1928 to Roy and Gladys Seely Myles,
passed away at her residence in Kenneth Spencer Memorial Home on
January 12, 2022.
Jackie
attended school in Moncton and graduated from the Moncton New
Brunswick Technical Institute with a certificate in Practical Nursing.
She was a maternity ward nurse at the Moncton City Hospital from 1947
-1952. She took 2 years off, having suffered an aneurysm, after which
she worked respectively for Dr. Harry Flemming and Dr. D.E. Steeves.
She also worked for Father Bernard Sloan at the Catholic Information
Centre. She was a life member of Central United
Church.
Jackie leaves
a sister, Geraldine(Jim) Millier of Brockville. She was predeceased by
her parents, a sister Joan Rayworth and nephews Michael Rayworth and
Paul Millier. She is survived by a niece Barb Millier of Brockville,
and nephews Stephen Rayworth of Agassiz BC., Scott, Tim and David
Rayworth all of Nova Scotia.
Jackie also greatly appreciated
all the assistance provided by her long term friend, Dennis Cochrane,
over many years.
There will be
no viewing or service at Jackie’s request. Cremation has taken place
at Tuttle Brothers Funeral Home Riverview. Burial will take place, at
a later date, in Bonne Bay, Newfoundland.
Memorials to a
charity of the donor’s choice would be
appreciated.
Special thanks
to the staff of Kenneth Spencer Memorial Home who provided care for
Jackie in often challenging circumstances.
