Peacefully into the arms of her Saviour Jesus, with her family at her side, Mary entered into rest at Hospice Prince Edward, Picton on Saturday, January 22, 2022, Mary Wellein (nee Minnikin) of Picton died at the age of 90. She was the daughter of the late Harvey & Madeline Minnikin and was the beloved wife of the late Sidney. Mary was the loving mother of Edward (Lorrie) of Campbell River, BC and was the dearest grandmother of Matthew (Jade), Emily, Anna, Silas (MacKenzie) Sienna, Seth and Isabelle and great grandmother of Oliver and Quinn. She is survived by her sister Shirley Maw (late George) of Barrie and is predeceased by her sisters Laura Laird and Barbara Melvin and her brothers Russell, Cecil and Harold Minnikin. Mary will be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Wellein is resting at the Rushnell Funeral Home – Picton Chapel, 33 Main Street West, Picton (613-476-2450) for visitation on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 from 2 – 3 p.m. Spring Interment Wellington Cemetery in the family plot.
