Cormack, Mary Evelyn (nee Jackson) 1930 – 2022
Passed away peacefully at Lookout Ridge Retirement Home on Friday October 21, 2022 in her 93rd year.
Predeceased by her beloved husband Roderick (1990) and her brother John Jackson. Dear and loving mother of Bryan Cormack and his wife Lynne of Fonthill, Jane Cormack of Montreal and Peter Cormack of Mississauga. Cherished grandmother of Patrick and Aidan.
Born in Brockville Ontario, Mary moved to Toronto to pursue a career in nursing, graduating from the Toronto General Hospital School of Nursing in 1950.
After her career in nursing, she spent time as a travel agent and volunteering at the Art Gallery of Ontario, and Scadding Cabin located on the CNE grounds. An avid bridge player, she also enjoyed reading and knitting. Mary was a long-time member of Armour Heights Presbyterian Church in Toronto.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the nurses and all members of the care team at Lookout Ridge for the exceptional care their mother received while there.
In keeping with Mary’s wishes cremation has taken place.
