It is with great sadness we announce the passing of
Mary Elizabeth Harrison, age 90, of
Springhill. Mary passed away on Sunday, December 11, 2022 at High
Crest Nursing Home.
Born in Maccan, she was a daughter of the late David Austin
and Alma (Hurley) Emmett.
Mary loved bingo, cards, gardening, knitting, bowling and had
a knack for finding pennies while walking the dog but above all else
she loved her family.
Mary will be dearly missed by daughters Norma Jean (Joseph)
Hachey, Susan (Bill) Budd, Marjorie (Bob) Black, Bertha Harrison; son
Richard (Donna); 12 grandchildren; 16 great-children; sister-in-law
Bertha Emmett as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband
James Conrad “Connie” Ripley, second husband Clarence Henry
“Mutt” Harrison, brothers George in infancy, Richard,
Franklin, and David; stepchildren Carol, Dorothy, Barbara and Arnold.
Mary was also predeceased by her beloved dog Tucker.
The family would like to recognize the entire staff at
High-Crest Nursing Home, Springhill, who all deserve recognition for
the outstanding care, compassion and support they gave Mary during her
time with them.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of
A H Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane
Street, Springhill, (902 597 2361) where a visitation will take place
on Saturday, December 17th, 2022 from 1:00 until 2:00 PM followed
immediately by her Funeral Service at 2:00 PM with Pastor Alexander
(Sasha) Cheprasov presiding.
Donations in Mary’s memory may be made to the LA Animal
Shelter, IWK or charity of choice.
