Obituary
Mom grew up in Sandy Bay First Nation where she met her husband Alvin, at the age of 18, then raised 14 kids with him. Mom and Dad’s home was always open. She was always an amazing mother figure to all who came into her home. She also loved being outdoors. Dad made her a big garden that she took so much pride in. She loved driving around, thrift shopping, also sewing quilts, and playing Vlts.
Since Koko’s heart surgery in 2016, she loved spending time at home taking care of her boys Ricky and Francis, waiting for visitors to pop in, and talking on the phone. The noise of children running around playing is what brought Koko so much joy. She loved a full home of people gathering.
Koko loved for us to listen to her musical clocks that rang every hour. They were set minutes apart so they didn’t all ring at once either. Koko loved to joke around and laugh with her grandkids. Big Koko had the most beautiful head of white hair. Koko’s heart was so kind, so loving, she was absolutely full of love and gave so much love in return.
