Mary C MacLean 1929 2022

It is with
great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother and
nanny, Mary Catherine MacLean of Montague, PEI, aged 92 years. Mary
passed away peacefully at the Kings County Memorial Hospital on
February 27, 2022, surrounded by her family. Mary was predeceased by
her loving husband of 60 years, Richard (Dick) MacLean and will be
dearly missed by sons, Doug (Kim) and John (Rhonda). She was a
cherished grandmother to Jennifer (Matthew), Heather (Dean), Brett
(Dometria), Morgan (Jenny), and Cassie (Corey) and great grand- mother
to Finn, Levi, Chet, Meredith and Anna. She was predeceased by brother
David Baker and sisters Buffy Irvine and Nancy Ripley. Mary was born
in Yarmouth, NS to parents Karl and Polly Baker. She attended Acadia
University and while visiting PEI, met the love of her life, Dick
MacLean. Mary worked as a teacher in Montague for many years, while
helping her husband build his business. She was a devoted volunteer
who dedicated many hours to her church and her community. Mary had a
mischievous and adventurous spirit and loved to golf, travel and
socialize with her many life-long friends. Her sense of humour and
unconditional love will be dearly missed by all who knew
her.
The family would like to thank
the staff at Perrins Marina Villa and Kings County Memorial Hospital
who cared for Mary over the past year.
Resting at
